Shuttle Bus Service From 7 September

Set out below is the latest updated version (7 September 2020) of the timetable for bus shuttle service 901 linking the various communities at Fairlight, Pett Level and Winchelsea Beach to Rye where connections are available with buses to/from Hastings and St Leonards as required by passengers. The basic timetable is unaltered from that forwarded on 1 September but you will note that certain journeys are duplicated with the aim of providing sufficient capacity for school pupils/students.

These arrangements have been communicated to secondary schools at Rye, Hastings and St Leonards and the details will also be made available on the County Council and Stagecoach websites.

Pupils attending Guestling Bradshaw CEP School from the Fairlight area previously travelled on a service 101 journey that diverted to the School in the morning and on a service 347 journey that continued from Pett to Ore and the Fairlight area in the afternoon. The County Council has made alternative ‘closed door’ arrangements for these pupils in the mornings and in order to serve Fairlight, the 347 will follow a revised route and timetable in the afternoon. Colleagues are liaising with the School and parents/carers appropriately.

As the East Sussex Highways work progresses, further changes will be necessary to arrangements and we will write again when these occur.
