Operation Sceptre is the national police response to help reduce knife crime in the UK, Sussex Police are taking part in this Operation with a number of events being held in local in local communities.
We will be having amnesty bins located at every police station within Sussex, this means that people can walk in and place their knifes in the bins with no questions asked.
We also have a number of events taking place in and around the local area, this include our youth prevention officers attending schools and colleges to raise awareness to student, giving them information about knife crime. (You’re 20% more likely to be injured or killed if you carry a knife, most likely these injuries will be caused by your own knife)
