Community Library Notes – March

Community Library Notes
We had a very busy March Library and Coffee Morning, so much so that the cakes sold out! They are, indeed, very good.
Knit and Crochet Corner has presented another project, new to us, under the auspices of the WI. This is for squares in double knitting yarn, knitted, unusually, from corner to corner.  Pop in to pick up a pattern and see how it is done or, indeed, learn how to knit these.
Amongst the influx of new books is a selection of biographies of interesting people from recent times. Paul O’Grady’s At My Mothers Knee – And Other Low Joints was borrowed immediately, but we also have in our non-fiction section tomes about Coco Chanel, Jason Donovan and Damon Hill to name but a few.
We look forward to seeing you in April on Wednesday 1st, and we are open from 10 – 12.
Oh, and we still have a few charming bookmarks in return for a donation and beautiful lavender bags for £2.00, all funds raised go to the village hall.
