Community Library Notes

By next month, April, we should know when we can plan to reopen at the Village Hall. In the meantime, we reiterate that the public library is doing a sterling job. We have personal experience of their excellent service and there is no reservation fee at the moment. They have also introduced Borrowbox, an audiobook provider which can be downloaded from your app store and you then log in with your library card number and PIN. More information about the public library service can be had by phoning 0345 60 80 196. You can also use this number to reserve up to ten books. It is free and easy to join the library and can be done online if you are unable to visit a library (where you need to take proof of your name and address).

It is also possible to borrow books from the selection available in the porch of St Nicholas Church by the beach in Pett Level. While a financial contribution is appreciated, a notice on the door suggests that this could be made when the church is open again. Fran Rogers very kindly swaps the books in the porch over with some of those in the church from time to time. Much appreciated Fran!
