In the light of the Prime Minister’s statement yesterday about further restrictions on social distancing, the Pett Village Hall Management Committee have agreed to extend the current cancellation/postponement of all events at Pett Village Hall until the end of June 2020. The position will be kept under review and we will let you know if there is any change to the situation. The Committee are very sad to announce this, but in the circumstances we feel we have no alternative.

The statement in the April edition of Pett & Pett Level Village News that the Hall is staying open for the time being was written before the Government’s announcements this week and should be disregarded.

The only exception to this is the collection and delivery of prescriptions for Harold Road Surgery, which, until we are notified otherwise, will continue at the Hall on Mondays from 2pm-2.30pm and Fridays from 9.00am – 10.00am. There will however be no doctor’s surgery at the Hall.

Today I will be informing all those with bookings at the Hall until the end of June of the Hall’s closure. One or two are already rescheduling events for later in the year. The calendar for 2020 is available at https://www.pettnet.org.uk/booking Sadly there is of course no guarantee that the Hall be open for business after the end of June.

Thank you for your understanding and continuing support for the Hall.

Keep well.

Kind regards

Tim Rothwell, Chair, Pett Village Hall Management Committee.
