Sussex Police – History Pages

Sussex Police have posted new pieces from their past on their History pages which features interesting articles, oddities and curiosities from the last 50 years and beyond of their policing past.

Recently added is a poem written by a policeman’s mum about the difficult job officers have (January 1969); ‘Personally Speaking’ a Chief Officer’s commentary on the amalgamation which discusses the importance of communicating to the new Force (July 1968); ‘Self-education for the police over 50 years’ written circa 1920 talks about promotion exam questions and some interesting ‘tails’ about horses! (January 1972).
