Pett Village Hall Management Committee – Update

The Pett Village Hall Management Committee met at the village hall on Monday 26 October, a few days before the latest lockdown was announced.

Sadly, the lockdown will mean that all activities at the hall will cease from Thursday 5 November until at least 2 December inclusive. The only exceptions will be the Harold Road prescription service on Monday (2pm-2.30pm) and Fridays (9.00am – 10.00am) and the WI Foodbank. We will of course update you on the position after 2 December as soon as that becomes clear. At the time of writing the relevant regulations enforcing the lockdown have not been laid before Parliament but if the situation changes after that we will of course let you know.

In particular, Clare Walker has been appointed as Administrative Officer and has now taken over as Bookings Manager for the hall, and hire rates will be increased from 1 April 2021 to ensure the long-term financial security of the hall. Details are in the report.
