35 fortunate people were hugely entertained on Friday 23 November at Pett Village Hall by jazz maestros Ian Millar on saxophone and Dominic Spencer on piano. For nearly two hours the audience, enjoying bring-your-own supper and wine, listened to jazz standards and self-penned compositions as well as being entertained by stories of Ian and Dominic’s travels around the village halls of the UK and Scotland in particular.
The hall was transformed into a night club type atmosphere thanks to subtle lighting and tea lights on the tables. It was also nice and warm – thanks to the heating having been restored the previous evening! And some money was raised for the Village Hall funds into the bargain.
Ian and Dom are coming back to the South East next year and it would be good to have them visit us again – this time with a bigger audience!
Ian and Dom have included their visit to Pett on their Blog which can be read here
