I am very pleased to say that I have received confirmation this morning that yesterday’s announcement by the Government regarding social distancing does not affect Covid-secure activities at Village Halls and so our regular bookings at Pett Village Hall can continue as normal. There will still be difficulties in hosting some other events such as parties.
Here is the advice from Action in Rural Sussex (AIRS).

‘The Community Facilities Guidance has been re-issued by the Government today and makes clear that Covid Secure halls can host more than 6 people, subject to their own capacity limits, but no one should visit or socialise in a group greater than 6. As halls and hirers should have social distancing in place already this should not prevent community activities continuing, though some may perhaps need to make slight adjustments to layout.
Similarly outdoor events organised by charities or political organisations, businesses or public bodies can continue with more than 6.’
