Coffee Morning – Farewell

Firstly we would like to thank everyone who supported our coffee morning this month, old faces and new!

Also a big thank you to the Rector and his lovely wife for their kind donation of £5.00 proceeds from the sale of some scarves and bags which had been kindly donated to them.

Now after 7 years of running the Village Hall Coffee Morning we have decided to hang up our apron strings.

On a personal basis I would like to thank my faithful team of helpers: Phil for his famous sausage rolls and for putting the board out each month. Eve for her amazing baking skills and wonderful cheese scones which will be missed. Helen for her longstanding support, baking and her wicked sense of humour!  Without these loyal helpers we would not have lasted so long.

Finally, a huge thank you to all of the lovely people of Pett, who have unfailingly supported this community event and in the process helped to raise funds for the Village Hall. There are too many names to list. We will miss your smiling faces and the chat and news that we all exchanged.

If anyone would like to take over this community event please contact the Village Hall Committee.

A message from Helen

Hello to all the loyal people who came to the Wednesday coffee mornings for the past seven years. As you now know we will no longer be holding this event.  I know you would all join me in thanking Sally for all her hard work, setting up tables and chairs, baking such wonderful cakes, shopping for the tea, coffee etc and raising money solely for Pett Village hall. Sally ,we do appreciate all your efforts.I hope that if anyone else decides to try to replicate the coffee morning they will do so in the same spirit and donate any and all profits to the upkeep of the venue, this was one of the main aims. I thank you all and especially my friend Sally.
