The new Pett Village hall was built in 2002 to replace the old cherished building (interior shown below) which had served the village
since the early 1920s.

Previous hall

The new hall was the product of determination and hard work put in by parishioners with the support of donations from local residents, some of whom bought a brick which are displayed in the foyer.

Many fundraising events took place but the project could not have been completed without the financial assistance given by the local councils and a grant from the Lottery Board.  The Hall was officially opened in March 2002 by Paul Merton, the comedian, a local resident at that time. The event is mentioned in his autobiography “Only when I laugh”.

The whole community now has a superb facility in which everyone can take pride.
